Gr. 7/8 - Social Studies - Globalization, Technology and Interdependance

• We explored our own global connections through looking at product origin of 50 things we own/use and 50 things we want by mapping them on a google map. We defined Globalization, Technology and Interdependance and then looked at the Pacific Rim % of global goods we consumed. From these percentages we wrote general understanding statements on Globalization, Technology and Interdependance.

Group 1's general understanding statements:
Globalization -is a world commutity,we use ipods and buy them from store

Technology-is a electrionic device that help us talk to other citizens of the world

Interdependance-is when we depend on other countries for trading goods and things we need and want.

Globalization

Technology - Tecnolagy is the makeing and usage of tools and machiens such as Laptops.

Interdependance - Dependance beetweentwo or more peoples, groupsand things such as Mexico and Canada.

Globalization: is the world wroking together to get different goods in order to maintain relationships.

Technology: helps the world communicate in order to trade and recieve goods.

Globalization - Globalization affects people because I get many things from around the world especially the Pacific Rim

Technology - Technology affects us because I need transportation recources and technology gives me access to communication over phones and computers.

Interdependance - Interdependance helps communities to get resources that they need from around the world
